Production Mode

Link your API key to your domain name to serve the full content

The Adviser Portals API authorises every request using the API key included with the request and the IP address of the server from which the request originates.

For the API to run in production mode the API key must be validated, and the request must be made from a domain name associated with the same account.

In production mode the API will serve authentic responses. If the domain name does not match, the API will run in developer mode, and data will be limited or obfuscated.

If you're using the API to provide content to a website, you'll have been using it in Developer Mode whilst building it. Before you put the website live, you'll need to ensure that the API will function in production mode, and to do that the correct domain name needs to be entered in the API section of My IFAPortal.
